I worked with a team of classmates to create a proposal that addresses needs to simulate and enact system changes without consequence for a system, with the goal of taking preventative action while mitigating food waste.

"Deca Foods is a multi-national food distribution company.
Deca needs to visualize the supply system, identify the highest impact touch points of food waste, simulate alternatives and implement decisions. Ultimately resulting in a summary report of the changes and results to be shown to executive management.
The emphasis should be on the prevention of food waste. This could be done by eliminating the reliance on unpredictable factors identified by the Internet of Things (IoT) sensors."
The class was split into groups, and each group assessed one or two of the following interface requirements:
- visualize
- simulate
- enact/implement
- report
My group focused on a part of this interface system that could simulate and enact changes to the system.

Persona
Luigi manages the shipment and delivery of eggs in the Northern and Western U.S. regions. His main goals are to maximize efficiency and optimize system changes.
He is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of goods and services, from the point of origin to the point of consumption. He is skilled in the coordination and management of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Scenario
Deca Foods aims to reduce the risk of egg waste by simulating changes to their system using sensor data and then enacting those changes via automated decisioning.
Luigi is notified of changing weather conditions conducive of potential wildfires in California. Luigi needs to find solutions for upcoming shipments to mitigate the risk of any delays or damage to the eggs.
